Results of investigations of the concentration of copper, nickel, zinc, and molybdenum in ground waters and in the ash of plants in the vicinity of sulfide-bearing schists at Nokia and Hiirola, Finland, and in the Rautio region where molybdenite is sparsely disseminated in granite and granodiorite, lead to the conclusion that biogeochemical methods may be a useful adjunct to geophysical prospecting for certain types of Finnish ore deposits.
