Sulphide mineralization in the Skellefte District, northern Sweden, and its relation to regional granitization

Discusses geochemical and field evidence in support of the conclusion that the sulfide ores of the Skellefte district, Sweden, were formed by mobilization and concentration of the metal content of preexisting sediments as a result of regional metamorphism and granitization processes operative in late stages of the Svecofennian orogenic cycle, the oldest of the three Precambrian orogenies distinguished in Fennoscandia.
