Notes the association of uranium mineralization in the Katherine-Darwin region, Northern Territory, with zones of shattered rock formed by shearing along anticlines and horizontal displacement along northeast-trending faults. These structures are thought to have originated as a result of dislocation of crustal blocks, which was caused by deep-seated subcrustal flow (bathyrheal underflow) in a northeasterly direction.
