Presents arguments against the thesis that accessory minerals in igneous rocks (particularly apatite, zircon, and sphene) are products of late crystallization, noting in conclusion that the preferential distribution of primary (early) accessory minerals in early main constituents is a criterion for magmatic crystallization.
