Sulfur isotopes and hydrothermal deposits

Discussion of Geoscience Abstracts 1-1467. Experiments are briefly mentioned in which surface exchange apparently causes fractionation of Sr isotopes (Sr 89 and Sr 90 or Sr 85 and Sr 90 ). Parallel situations must occur in nature, e.g., when ground waters or hydrothermal solutions pass over slightly soluble salts.
