Distribution of radioactivity in the Mosaboni copper mine, Bihar, India

E. V. Gangadharam, K. Kameswara Rao, and U. Aswathanarayana

"An analysis of the data on the gross alpha activity and copper content of forty-one samples of rocks and ore from various levels of the Mosaboni copper mine of Bihar, indicates that there is no marked linear relationship between copper content and alpha activity of samples. This observation suggests the possibility that though copper and uranium now occupy the same weak zones in the sodagranite, there was a time gap between the mineralization of uranium and copper, the former being older."
