Lead mineralization in the Abbottabad area, Hazara District, West Pakistan

F. A. Shams

Field occurrence and textural relationships of thin lead ore veins concordantly interbedded in folded schists below the unconformity at the base of Infratriassic deposits suggest that the mineralization represents syntectonic injection of hydrothermal material along fractures and zones of weakness in the host rocks, accompanied by some impregnation and replacement of adjacent rocks.
