Heavy mineral reconnaissance Florida west coast

A reconnaissance bottom sampling program in the offshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico along the W. coast of Florida is described. Over 1300 samples were obtained from a moving boat. Heavy liquid, petrographic, and grain size tests are reported, along with some comments which may be useful to another with a similar problem.
