The univariant equilibrium curve determined by the electrum-tarnish method, is expressed as a function of temperature and fugacity of sulfur, and extended upward, with gentle curvature, to the invariant point with liquid sulfur at 568 degrees C. The data provide a basis for recognizing disequilibrium in certain assemblages.
