Beryl in the Rosses granite, north- west Ireland

"Small deposits of beryl are located close to the contacts between the two latest granite intrusives in the Rosses ring complex, County Donegal, Ireland. The beryl occurs in patches of greisen, in quartz veins and pegmatites, and as a fine-grained dissemination at the edge of a zone of muscovite-rich granite. The main greisen deposit is estimated to contain of the order of 50 tons of beryl."
