Diamond disc preparation of polished thin sections for electron microprobe analysis

Donald E. Cadwell, and Paul W. Weiblen

Grinding is carried out on diamond discs and polishing uses diamond slurry on polyethylene film in a vibratory polisher. Automatic equipment is used for slow stages. The section is thinned by two-step diamond-disc grinding.
