Kimberlites in Tanganyika with special reference to the Mwadui occurrence

The top of the kimberlite lies beneath 1,200 feet of crater fill consisting of kimberlite-granite breccia and stratified sediments containing Cretaceous fossils. Phlogopite from primary kimberlite has a K-Ar age of 2,035
