Geologic limitations on the age of uranium deposits in the Jackpile Sandstone, New Mexico

Uranium ore and associated sedimentary structures are truncated by an erosional surface under reworked sandstone beneath the Cretaceous Dakota Sandstone. Much of the uranium thus appears to have been introduced shortly after deposition of the host sediment.
