Tungsten occurrences in India and their genesis

The deposits are in shear zones in pelitic schist or quartz monzonite, and are related to late Precambrian granitic intrusions. Ferberite and wolframite are the principal ore minerals. Results of geochemical and geobotanical prospecting have been encouraging.
