Origin of manganese ores of Adilabad District, Andhra Pradesh, India

The ores contain braunite, pyrolusite, cryptomelane, and birnessite. They are believed to be primarily chemical sediments, deposited along with the limestones in which they occur. Weathering has caused some reworking.
