Potash-bearing evaporites, Danakil area, Ethiopia [discussion]

The age of the rocks beneath the evaporite sequence in the Danakil area, at the junction of the Red Sea, Gulf of Aden, and African rift systems, is critical to drift hypothesis. Some of the data reported by J. G. Holwerda and R. W. Hutchinson are inconsistent (for reference, see this Bibliography Vol. 32, No. 10, 02 E68-12759).
