Canada is obviously the place to be for platinum group elements (PGE). Two hefty tomes of Canadian origin on the subject of economic geology of PGE have appeared in the last three years, with the first being the weighty volume edited by Louis Cabri and published by CIM in 2002. The latest, and the subject of this review, is a set of course notes published by the Mineralogical Association of Canada, compiled to accompany a short course on PGE exploration held at the recent PGE Symposium in Oulu, Finland.
